Award-winning designer Kathie Golson, CID formed her design philosophy during her years overseas in both Germany and Turkey, where she attended college and specialized in European architecture. She believes that good design is both smart and simple. She prides herself on listening carefully to her client's needs and priorities. "A client can expect me to listen," she says, "It’s very important to me that my client’s lifestyle is reflected in the design, therefore I collaborate with my clients to ensure they get what they are looking for." By creating a collaborative atmosphere during her design appointments, she is able to create a room that wraps around her clients and makes them feel truly at home!
When not at work, Kathie enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, and her two Goldendoodles — Cali & Chloe. Kathie is a long-distance runner, most recently completing the Los Angeles Marathon. Other interests include volunteering, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
As an interior decorator, Evelyng brings to clients a wealth of experience and knowledge in many facets of design and other home improvements. Her client-centered nature makes her an excellent listener and problem solver. Her goal is always to make your design project a pleasurable experience. “I knew from the time I was a little girl that I loved interior decorating,” she says. “As I grew older, I also knew that I wanted to do something that makes people happier and more content in their lives. This enables me to do what I love and help others love what I do.”
Evelyng’s experience includes the full range of interior design work—creating concepts, working with vendors, overseeing installers, and seeing projects through to completion. Much of this experience was refined in more than a decade of success at the Expo Design Center at Home Depot. “I joined Golson Designs part of the Decorating Den Interiors franchise because I want to be more available to clients, on their schedule,” she said.
