Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce Announces Strategic Partnership with Florida Korean American Chamber of Commerce (FLKACC)
Orlando, FL – On Saturday, March 28, the Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce (LNRCC) formally entered into a strategic partnership with the Florida Korean American Chamber of Commerce (FLKACC) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), advancing a broader regional effort to position Lake Nona and Central Florida as a premier destination for international business and innovation.
This partnership builds on the Chamber’s renewed strategic direction following the appointment of Ashley Loute as Executive Director in November, signaling a focused commitment to strengthening regional collaboration, expanding global connections, and accelerating economic growth across Lake Nona and the greater Orlando, Orange County, and Osceola County regions.
The collaboration with FLKACC was made possible through the leadership and alignment of key stakeholders across the Lake Nona community, including the ongoing support and engagement of Tavistock Group and regional business leaders who continue to play a critical role in shaping Lake Nona’s global positioning. The Chamber also extends a special thank you to LNRCC Board Member Mark Reid, Co-Founder of Beep Inc., for helping bridge the connection between the two organizations and facilitating this partnership.
FLKACC, recently established as the first statewide Korean Chamber of Commerce in Florida, serves as a unifying organization under the Korean American Chamber of Commerce USA. Led by President Hunter Kim, Director of the Osceola County Economic Development Center, the organization is focused on building a strong network of Korean businesses across Florida and strengthening their presence in the broader community.
“Florida is becoming a key base for drawing a new map of the Korean economy in the Americas,”Hunter Kim, President of FLKACC.
Central Florida is experiencing increased interest from Korean companies, particularly in industries such as semiconductor, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, fintech, and defense. Developments like NeoCity, a 483-acre semiconductor and high-tech campus in Osceola County, alongside growing retail and business presence, are accelerating the region’s role as a strategic hub for Korean investment.
“This partnership reflects where Lake Nona is headed. We are intentionally building relationships that connect our region to global markets. Through collaboration with FLKACC, and with the leadership of partners like Tavistock Group, we are positioning Lake Nona as a gateway for international investment and long-term economic opportunity.”Ashley Loute, Executive Director of LNRCC.
Through this partnership, LNRCC and FLKACC will focus on:
- Strengthening international business connections and market access
- Supporting Korean companies exploring or expanding in Central Florida
- Creating opportunities for collaboration across key industries
- Aligning regional economic development strategies
As Lake Nona continues to grow as a national model for innovation and collaboration, this partnership reinforces its role as a globally connected economic engine for Central Florida.
