With the new year comes leadership changes. The Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce welcomed their new Chairman of the Board of Directors, Andrea Byrge, on January 1, 2018.  Before assuming her new position, Andrea served on the Board of Directors this past year as the Director of Events. In that position, she was responsible for overseeing and executing the newest Signature Event hosted by the Chamber, the annual March 2017 Spring festival called Nona Chamber Festival.  Andrea was also in charge of the committee that ran the October 2017 Taste of Nona Signature Event that raised $2,300 at its Silent Auction to benefit the Ronald McDonald House at Nemours Hospital for Children.

Professionally, Andrea is a local realtor with a focus on the Lake Nona and immediate surrounding areas, specializing in marketing listings worldwide through the Sotheby’s International Real Estate network in over 60 countries. She has a reputation of being fierce, but compassionate. She is all about selling smarter and buying better!

Andrea's personal goals for this year are just as dynamic as she is! She and her husband, Chuck Byrge, are working on their first flip house and will finish that project this year. She is also working hard to help finish her younger son's custom home build.  Most importantly, she plans to continue to enjoy her two grandkids and international travel.

Here is what Andrea had to say when asked about her vision for the Chamber in 2018:

  • Improve and increase opportunities to network with businesses and community members.
  • Increase member use of their Chamber Website Profiles and the resources available to them in the Member Information Center.
  • Improve the use of sponsorships for breakfast and lunch events both to benefit the Chamber and the businesses wanting more visibility.
  • Bring in 5 (or more) Partnerships.

“We are a young Chamber with plenty of room to grow, but we've come a long way in a year's time and we're looking forward to what 2018 has to bring!”
